Only the top solder mask layer of the file will fail the review.

If there is only the top solder mask layer in your Gerber file, the review will fail. Because our system will be unable to determine how the bottom should be handled. We don't know whether the bottom is the same as the top solder mask layer; whether the bottom only requires partial windowing; or whether the bottom needs to completely cover the solder mask ink. Since these differences will directly affect the production method and final quality of the circuit board, it is necessary to clarify them. 

We suggest including both the top and bottom solder mask layer files in the design. Even if the two layers are the same, please export them separately so that the system can accurately identify them. If you really don't need the bottom solder mask layer, you can also note the bottom processing method when placing the order:

✅ Use the same solder mask layer as the top layer;
✅ The bottom is completely covered with solder mask ink;
✅ The bottom is fully exposed (without solder mask layer).
