Routing Process in Panel File – Distance Between PCBs Too Small

Reason for Failed Review:

In your panelized Gerber file, the distance between individual PCBs is smaller than 1.6 mm.

PCBfast needs to confirm which routing process you would like us to follow:

•  0 mm V-Scoring

•  3 mm V-Scoring, or

•  Tab Routing

Normally, PCB panels are separated by V-Scoring or Tab Routing methods:

•  V-Scoring options:

•  0 mm V-Scoring – boards are directly connected without spacing.

•  3 mm V-Scoring – includes a 3 mm gap between boards.

•  Tab Routing (with or without stamp holes) is generally used for irregular board outlines, and the spacing between boards should be ≥ 1.6 mm (2.0 mm is PCBfast’s default).

PCBfast Suggestions:

1. If your design has a regular rectangular shape and no components extending beyond the board outline, we recommend using 0 mm V-Scoring.

2. If your board has an irregular outline, please select Tab Routing.

3. If you prefer spacing between boards, choose 3 mm V-Scoring or Tab Routing depending on your design needs.

Confirming the correct routing method allows PCBfast to ensure precise panel cutting and efficient production.
