The spacing of my connector pins doesn't match the holes on the circuit board. What should I do?

This situation usually occurs when the spacing of the connector pins does not match the design hole pitch of the PCB. For example, if the PCB has a 2.0 mm pitch, but the selected pin holder has a 2.54 mm pitch.
