Please Clarify: 1-Layer or 2-Layer PCB

Reason for Failed Review:

Our engineers find that the layer count in your Gerber file does not match the order information. The file shows a single-layer board, but you selected “2-layer” in your online order (or vice versa). To ensure accurate production, the online specifications must match the Gerber file.

PCBfast Suggestions

1. If your design is indeed a single-layer PCB, please confirm and specify which layers you need:

•  Top copper layer

•  Top solder mask layer

•  Top silkscreen layer

This helps our engineers correctly interpret your file and avoid unnecessary processing on the unused side.

2. If your design includes plated through holes (PTH), then the board must be manufactured as a 2-layer PCB to ensure proper conductivity between layers. In such cases, PCBfast can add the necessary copper pads on the opposite layer to complete the two-layer connection.
